Destruction and pollution affects us all in Romania. Every spring, after snow and ice have melted, rivers of mud descend from the mountains and take people's homes away. It's the fault of us humans ourselves, as we cut down the forests without thinking about the consequences. Thousands of people have lost their homes in these floods. Summer heat is increasing, too, and we feel that we are choking in the shade. In the past we always looked forward to summer so we could go outside wearing just a shirt, but now it's too hot to wear a shirt. Old people die because of the heat, the asphalt melts and summer turns into chaos.

In winter the wind bangs at our doors and windows and the cold is more severe. The air is increasingly difficult to breathe and you had better buy water from a shop than a drink it straight from the tap, because it tastes of chlorine and can make you sick.

But if we take action now we can change the world. Let's work together for a better world!
