    St. Louis, Senegal

In Senegal the climate is so changeable that many houses fall down after some time because they go rusty. Because of the heat and salt, bridges, roads and buildings start to fall apart. Consequently, many people suffer from sinusitis or a bad cold.

All in all, the environment must be protected and saved. The state should take harsh measures against those who dumps household waste and at the same time find better ways to treat sewage industrial and household waste. It is a waste of time to clean the cities and let their suburbs be dirty. To turn the tide, we have organized a "set-settal", a cleanup or environment event in the context of the Connecting Classrooms activities in Saint-Louis. Indeed, many trees were planted and garbage was removed from the area. With this undertaking I hope our schools and houses will be cleaner places and thus the environment in our communities will be healthier. Healthy lives will grow in the shade of a healthy environment!
