  • Portrait Ylberina Softolli

    Ylberina Softolli, 18 years
    Podujeva, Kosova

Ylberina is a Young Ambassador of Kosova and participates in community programmes.

When she was 15 she was selected the Young Ambassador from Kosova to the United Kingdom. Ylberina also does a lot of volunteering work.

When I heard about global warming for the first time, I wanted to learn as much as possible about its effects. I started to do reasearch and to learn about the causes of climate change and global warming and what we can do about it. The Club of Young Ambassadors  orangized as debate with Kosovian citizen about global warning. All of us are keen to inform the people in our communities of the effects of the changes in our environment and how we can deal with natural hazards and desasters, even though we can not prevent them. In this debate Kosovian citizens from all walks of life participated. They all expressed their will to help tackle this problem together.

My family, myself and the people in my community were shocked to learn what drastic effects global warming can have. I am convinced that only if we all work together we can find solutions to adapt to the changing environment and to tackle the problems ahead.
