There are rivers near my house and the sea is also in walking distance. The area where I used to play in the sand as a child is now often covered in trash. The rivers and the ocean are contaminated with trash and there is oil floating on the surface. Just a few years back, I walked home picking up cans on the beach with a friend and found over forty cans.

Realizing how badly we treat our environment made me very sad and also concerned about what kind of future awaits our children. I want to make sure that them, too, will be able to enjoy the beautiful rivers and oceans. I would like them to be better informed about nature and to learn of the life it hosts. I believe it is my duty to communicate the need for action.
