Congratulations Claire-Sophie Gomis and team!

  • Portrait Claire-Sophie Gomis and team

Claire-Sophie Gomis and team, 17 years
    St-Louis, Senegal

Claire-Sophie is a science student at the Cheikh Omar Foutiyou Tall High School in Senegal and teamed up with other students from her school for this submission.

Her school has initiated environmental projects and has taken part in the British Council's Connecting Classrooms programme.

Unless we change our habits, in a few years time, some parts of the world will disappear beneath the sea, and tropical diseases will spread because of warmer and wetter weather. What should we do? The answer is that we must all change our behaviour. Change starts at home.

In St-Louis, Senegal, the local school has begun a tree-planting campaign. It may not seem much, but if we all work together we can make a real difference and create a healthier atmosphere for ourselves and our children.
